About our privacy policy
GiG Eco Future B.V. cares deeply about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by GiG Eco Future B.V. The effective date of these terms is 21/08/2024; with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what data we collect about you, where these data are used, and with whom and under what conditions these data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data from misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you have provided us.
If you have any questions about our privacy policy, you can contact our privacy officer; you can find the contact details at the end of our privacy policy.

About data processing
Below, you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), which security techniques we use, and who has access to the data.

Web hosting
Lightspeed
We use web hosting and email services from Lightspeed. Lightspeed processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Lightspeed has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Lightspeed is obligated to maintain confidentiality under the agreement.

Email and mailing lists
MailChimp
We send our email newsletters using MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically via our website, you will find the 'unsubscribe' link. You will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is securely stored by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies to track whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in this context, share information with third parties.

Office365
We use the services of Office365 for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Office365 has no access to our inbox, and we handle all our email traffic confidentially.

Payment processors
Mollie
For processing (part of) the payments in our web store, we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address, and residence details, as well as your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to improve its services and, in this context, share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than legally permitted.

Reviews
TrustedShop
We collect reviews via the TrustedShop platform. If you leave a review via TrustedShop, you are required to provide your name and email address. TrustedShop shares this information with us so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, TrustedShop may contact you for an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with TrustedShop. They only use this data to invite you to leave a review.

Shipping and logistics
PostNL
If you place an order with us, it is our duty to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out the deliveries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this data only for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also makes your data available to these parties.

DHL
If you place an order with us, it is our duty to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of DHL to carry out the deliveries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and residence details with DHL. DHL uses this data only for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. If DHL engages subcontractors, DHL also makes your data available to these parties.

Purpose of data processing
General purpose of processing
We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later date - other than at your request - we will ask you for explicit permission to do so. Your data will not be shared with third parties other than to meet accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality under the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (e.g., your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with fiscal and criminal investigations
In certain cases, GiG Eco Future B.V. may be required by law to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are compelled to share your data, but we will oppose this within the limits of the law.

Retention periods
We retain your data as long as you are a client of ours. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a forget request. This also means that we will not retain your data for longer than two years from the last contact moment or transaction unless there is a legal justification for doing so. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for as long as the applicable period lasts. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents we have created in response to your assignment.

Your rights
Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below what rights these are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies and transcripts of your data to your already known email address with us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at another email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep records of completed requests, and in the event of a forget request, we administer anonymized data. All copies and transcripts of data are provided to you in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of access
You always have the right to access the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to your known email address along with a list of the processors holding this data, indicating the category under which we have stored this data.

Right to rectification
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to you, corrected. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been corrected to your known email address.

Right to restrict processing
You always have the right to restrict the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to data portability
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to you, transferred to another party. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or transcripts of all data relating to you that we have processed or that has been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf to your known email address. It is likely that we will no longer be able to continue providing services in such a case, as the secure linkage of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights
In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of GiG Eco Future B.V. If you object, we will immediately cease processing your data while your objection is being handled. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with copies and/or transcripts of data we process (or have processed) and then permanently cease processing. In addition, you have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe this is the case, please contact our privacy officer.
