What is SOLID?

When Lithuanian Vaiva decided to travel through Asia with only a backpack, she started thinking how handy it would be to have a shampoo as a solid. Once back in Lithuania, she decided to expand on this idea and came up with a handy innovative solution with SOLIDU. At first they only made the shampoo bars for family and friends, but when they were so impressed that they wanted to buy it again, SOLIDU decided to operate on a larger scale. They are now the most well-known solid shampoo producer in the Baltic States, and are becoming more popular in the rest of Europe as well.

The shampoo bar

Sustainability is central to the production of the SOLIDU shampoo bars. For this they use the best quality ingredients, and every step in the production process is carefully thought through. For example, only biodegradable materials are used, which means that the shampoo bar is free of microplastics and silicones. You use the shampoo bar by first moistening your hair and the bar. Then rub the bar between your hands and massage your hair thoroughly with the shampoo. Store the shampoo bar in a dry place after use. The label that remains after use can be recycled with the paper.

Durability

The advantage of the shampoo bars is that it can be packed and transported much more efficiently than 'wet' shampoo. So you don't pay for the water that is in the bottles of conventional shampoo, and the shampoo bar lasts at least as long. Because there is no water in it, the volume of the shampoo decreases by up to 80%, making the shampoo ideal for long hikes or festivals. The packaging can be completely recycled, so the product is zero-waste. All SOLIDU products at Grace is Green are vegan and not tested on animals.
