The paper of the notebooks is made of bamboo pulp and sewn together with a cotton thread. As a result, the notebooks are free from chemical and non-degradable materials such as glue and staples.

Why bamboo pulp?

By using bamboo pulp, Pandoo wants to combat industrial deforestation. Unlike bamboo, it takes decades for a tree to mature.

Bamboo is a special plant that grows on almost all surfaces. After cutting, the plant will grow back on its own and it will also grow very quickly. It can be ready for harvest within 8 to 10 weeks. This not only makes bamboo an economically interesting raw material, it is also more beneficial for the environment.

Pandoo donates 5% of the stationery sales to their partner – the Barnabas Children Centre. The project in Kenya offers more than 500 children a future for themselves and their families.
